WEP celebrated 10 years of women’s education in India this past Thursday at the annual silent auction & champagne tasting event, Raise Your Glass, Raise Her Spirits 2012. Thank you to all who attended & made this evening such a success! Especially Radhika Vaz of Unladylike and Brock Savage for the auction and performance, Seema Pandya and Varuni Tiruchelram for the tabla and cello performance, Katarina Kojic for the photographs, and all our wonderful guests!

A free screening of PBS’s “Time for School”, an unprecedented, award-winning 12-year documentary following seven children to their classrooms in Afghanistan, Benin, Brazil,India, Japan, Kenya, and Romania.
Producer Tamara Rosenburg was present for a Q + A.
The evening was sponsored by Women’s Education Project and by Film Sprout, a Brooklyn-based documentary distribution company that brings independent,social-issue films to grassroots audiences.
